Family run free house in Badlesmere

WELCOME TO THE RED LION BADLESMERE

The Red Lion at Badlesmere was built in 1546, during the reign of Henry VIII. It was originally used as a farm dwelling and became an inn in 1728.

Here at our family run free house we offer a fully gluten free menu, with a relaxed pub atmosphere.

During the winter months you can cosy up by one of our open fires, enjoying a pint of real ale and a hearty feast. In the warmer months, make the most of the sunshine and spend the whole day outside in our beautiful country garden.

Your four legged friends are also welcome at the Red Lion Badlesmere in the garden area & the restaurant. We ask that you please keep them on a lead and clean up after them.

We chose this pub because it was Gluten Free and the menu seemed to have all the pub classics but without any concerns. We were not disappointed! The service was exceptional, very friendly and helpful,good range of drinks. Food was excellent and very filling. Good value! Highly recommend. The landlord even gave us a lift back to Faversham as we couldn’t get a taxi, how is that for service!

Booked a table for my wifes Birthday and we were not disappointed, good service, cold drinks and very nice food, generous portions and tasty. We've mentioned this place to many of our friends. Give it a try.
